Interview with Rosemary, from Rosemary & Co
Season 3, Episode 6 : Interview with Rosemary, from Rosemary & Co
In this episode, Peter visited the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, the home of Rosemary & Co Artists’ brushes, to interview Rosemary herself.
Peter and Rosemary discuss exactly how she makes her famous brushes, the tools and materials involved in brush making and why so many artists around the globe consider her paint brushes the best in the world.
They also discuss her business journey; how she started making brushes and how this grew from a part-time hobby, to a cottage industry… to a global company!
In the second half of the podcast, they get technical - discussing the properties of different hairs, which ones work for which brushes and, most importantly, why. Rosemary is known for working closely with Artists, designing brushes for their specific needs; she talks about some of the new and existing developments in the world of brushes and what she is currently working on.
Painter or not, for anyone interested in Art, this podcast is not to be missed!
